Community Christmas is a collaboration between several different organizations in our community that was started by The Well. This year Community Christmas will be hosted by the Real Change in Ruston committee. Anyone who is part of one of our partner organizations has the opportunity to earn “Christmas Cash” throughout the year by participating in life building activities and classes. Christmas Cash is the currency of Community Christmas and can be used to shop for Christmas gifts. Community Christmas is December 11th & 12th this year at the Civics Center. From baking to gift wrapping, there is room for everyone to participate! If you’d like to volunteer, click the link below for opportunities to help make Community Christmas happen!
You are invited to partner with Real Change in Ruston for Christmas in September, a gift drive to stock the Community Christmas store! The Community Christmas store is stocked with over 2,500 new gift items that are supplied through Christmas in September allowing shoppers to provide gifts for their loved ones during the holiday season. Businesses, organizations, churches, civic clubs, families, and individuals from around our community help stock the store by purchasing gifts or hosting gift drives in the month of September!
Participating is simple. Download our shopping list. Purchase a gift item. Drop off at 500 W. Georgia Ave, Ruston any time between now and December 9 or at your participating organization during the month of September!​​​​​​
